| Four Phases of Strategic Planning  Key Benefits - this is a 4-lesson seminar designed to introduce Christian leaders to strategic planning and guide them through a planning process that examines the needs and desires of their community. Together we will develop plans to practically apply God's commission for us, help to develop a real mission and vision for the local congregation, and develop specific long term goals with specific action plans and measures to stay the course for success."Where there is no vision, the people perish." Proverbs 29:18.- Objective 1 - Develop an understanding of the needs and desires of the local Church
- Objective 2 - Learn to employ a model of strategic planning to focus the efforts of the Church
- Objective 3 - Seminar concludes with a useful product developed by the participants for their use.
Capabilities- Capability 1

- Participants will learn the importance of interviewing church members, surrounding community leaders, key stakeholders who are interested in church development and growth. We will develop questions to identify our congregational talents and areas of weakness. We will learn how to identify opportunities and challenges.

- Participants will build on the information we learned about our talents, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges to determine the strategic issues facing the church in their community.

- Participants will turn strategic issues into Strategic Goals and focus those goals into a mission statement and vision to guide the local church to greater service relative to their needs.

- Participants will build action plans to reach strategic goals and establish tools to measure progress and maintain focus on their goals.
